Organ Protection Peptide Research
Organ protection research examines how peptides and bioregulators can preserve the structural and functional integrity of vital organs under conditions of acute stress, ischemia, toxic injury, chronic disease, and progressive aging. Organ-specific bioregulators — derived from tissue extracts of the liver, kidney, heart, lungs, and other organs — are studied for their targeted regulatory effects on organ-specific cell populations and gene expression. Research has also explored systemic cytoprotective peptides including BPC-157 and SS-31 for their multi-organ protective properties. This section covers research on peptides and bioregulators with organ protection and cytoprotective research applications.
